A Life Built on Story, Place, and Honest Work
Cedar & Shore is more than a studio; it’s the way I see the world.
I believe in slow craft, in the power of story, and in the quiet beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. My work is rooted in the idea that every person, every brand, and every place carries a deeper narrative waiting to be shaped.
My Story
I grew up drawn to the edges of things: coastlines, forests, forgotten buildings, the places where history and imagination overlap. Over the years, photography became the way I learned to listen. Writing became the way I learned to translate what I heard. Design became the way I learned to build something lasting from it all.
Cedar & Shore was born from that mix of curiosity and craft.
It’s the studio where I bring together everything I’ve learned, the technical, the artistic, the emotional, to help people tell their stories with clarity and soul.
Today, I live on the Olympic Peninsula building a life that’s simple, intentional, and rooted in place. Every project I take on is shaped by that same spirit.

How I Work
I believe good creative work begins with listening.
Before I ever lift a camera or sketch a brand system, I want to understand who you are, what you value, and what you’re trying to build. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in narrative because the best work doesn’t just look good, it means something.
Whether I’m photographing a moment, designing a visual identity, or shaping a website, my goal is always the same: to create something honest, intentional, and deeply aligned with your story.

Mastered Quality
“Tom is a good photographer who I see often looking for new perspectives and always willing to try out a cool shot. He is meticulous in both culling and editing and has mastered quality over quantity- this is shown every time he delivers images. I want to mention that Tom brings a peaceful energy to every shoot. I’ve modeled for him many times and always feel confident and comfortable in front of his lens. He can communicate if he has a vision but also goes with the flow to take advantage of situational opportunities. I trust his ability and skill as well as him as a human.”
